Gerald Johnson has been a small business owner, served four terms as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, has been a candidate for the US Congress, and has taught College classes at North Metro Technical College.

Gerald was raised on a small farm near Atlanta, Georgia and entered the real estate business when he was 20 years old and by the time he was 23 he had 45 agents working with him, was building houses, developing subdivisions, shopping centers and an industrial park. Gerald has sold insurance, worked for the telephone company as a lineman, and currently owns a landscape company in addition to being President of The 13th Colony, Inc., a small business and governmental affairs consulting company that works with small business owners to develop new business and grow their companies
